After a procedure, we'll send you home with information regarding information specific to you. Below is a list of post-op care for your reference.

More Information

Below is more information regarding some of the specific services we offer. Of course, if you ever have any questions, are unclear about a procedure, or would like more information, please don't hesitate to contact us!

  • Dental Implants - Dental implants can provide a solid, stable, and comfortable structure to replace any missing teeth. They are placed in the bone and gum tissue, to aid as a tooth root. They look and function like natural teeth. They can replace a single tooth, or even multiple teeth. Also, they can help retain dentures or partials, allowing a more natural biting and chewing capacity. Implants are known as one of the best ways to replace missing teeth and have a high success rate of helping patients maintain a healthy, happy, functioning smile.
  • Exams and Cleanings - Dental plaque and dental tartar are tough to remove. Even with proper brushing and flossing on a regular basis. Getting your regular dental cleanings are one of the most important parts of your dental care regimen to remove the plaque and tartar you could not get. Some people need a deeper cleaning, and to be seen on a more frequent basis. Others patients see us for their twice yearly prophylaxis cleaning. At this time we love to up update xrays as needed and make sure all treatment is up to date. An oral cancer screening is done, and evaluation of the head and neck. Fluoride is also placed on the teeth to prevent tooth decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth. It also reverses early decay.
  • IV Sedation Dentistry - Intravenous Conscious Sedation (IV Sedation) is when a drug, usually of the anti-anxiety variety, is administered into the blood stream during dental treatment. You may not remember having the procedure done because of two things: IV sedation induces a state of deep relaxation and a feeling of not being bothered by what's going on. The drugs used for IV sedation produce either partial or full memory loss for the period of time when the drug first kicks in until it wears off. As a result, time will appear to pass very quickly and you will not recall much of what happened if anything at all. It may appear as if you were "asleep" during the procedure. IV sedation can be used if you tend to be on the extremely nervous side or used when removing wisdom teeth.
  • Root Canals - Millions of teeth are treated and saved each year with root canal, or endodontic, treatment. Endodontic treatment treats the inside of the tooth. Endodontic treatment is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes: trauma, deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, faulty crowns or fillings, or a crack or chip in the tooth. If pulp inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess.
  • Tooth Colored Fillings - Composite resins, or tooth-colored fillings, provide great durability and resistance to any fractures in small- to mid-size fillings that need to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing. They can be used on either front or back teeth. They are a good choice for people who prefer that their fillings look more natural. They do not contain mercury like the amalgam (silver) fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are used to remove old amalgams that can be leaking and replace them with solid, strong composite resin.
  • Sealants - Sealants are plastic coatings that are usually placed on the chewing (occlusal) surface of the permanent back teeth - the molars and premolars - to help protect them from decay. The chewing surfaces of the molar and premolar teeth have grooves - "fissures" - that make them vulnerable to decay.
  • Whitening - We offer custom made Take-Home whitening trays  so you can customize and maintain your results at home!
  • Crowns and Bridges - Both crowns and most bridges are fixed prosthetic devices which means they are cemented onto existing teeth or implants. A crown is used to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth. Besides strengthening a damaged tooth, a crown can be used to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. Porcelain or ceramic crowns can be matched to the color of your natural teeth. Other materials include gold and metal alloys, acrylic and ceramic. A crown can be diagnosed if a large filling needs to be replaced that is too large, to protect a weak tooth from fracturing off, restore a tooth that has fractured, cover a dental implant, cover for cosmetic reasons or a tooth that has had a root canal. A bridge may be recommended if you're missing one or more teeth. Gaps left by missing teeth eventually cause the remaining teeth to rotate or shift into the empty spaces. Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing. Come on in, and we can help you decide which is right now you!
  • Porcelain Veneers - Wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length.
  • Partial and Full Dentures - Partial dentures are a set of teeth or individual teeth that attach to your natural teeth with small metal clasps. Dentures are full complete trays that fit along the palate or floor of your mouth and around the ridges of your bone which include a full set of teether for either the upper or lower. They are custom fitting. The denture teeth are set in a wax base so you may try them in to see how the denture will look before it is completed. You may make changes to suit you, consistent with your dental needs. After you have approved the look of your denture the lab will custom finish it and it will be ready to try in.
  • Tooth Extraction - Tooth extractions are the removal of a tooth/teeth from its socket in the bone. A tooth can be removed if there is lack of space for other teeth, or even infected. Also, a tooth will need to be removed if it is damaged beyond repair.
  • TMJ & Night Guards - A custom fit moth guard that protects from Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) pain or discomfort. TMJ is diagnosed by its specific symptoms that include radiating pain in the face, jaw, or neck. Most commonly felt is jaw muscle stiffness, limited movement or locking of the jaw, painful clicking, popping or grating in the jaw joint when opening or closing the mouth.
  • Snore Guards - We now screen all of our patients for sleep related breathing disorders and can even administer at home sleep studies to aid in the diagnosis of sleep apnea. A Snore Guard is a jaw retaining mouthpiece that holds your lower jaw forward while sleeping  to prevent airway collapse. It will be custom fitted to your mouth and is a great alternative to C-PAP therapy.
  • Homeopathic Practices - Natural remedies are used to accommodate patients with anxiety, pain, and inability to keep open, infections, cold sores, discomfort or trauma. Homeopathic remedies are proving valuable in making treatments more comfortable. Ask about any homeopathic treatments at your next appointment!
  • Gingivectomy - Gingivectomy is the removal of excess tissue caused by overgrowth or gum disease or other underlying conditions.
  • Frenectomy - A frenum is a fold of tissue in the mouth. Frenums are found between the upper two front teeth, under the tongue, and on the sides of the gums. A frenectomy is a procedure to remove one of these folds of tissue.
  • Invisalign- It's hard to remove plaque and bacteria from misaligned teeth. This can lead to inflamed gums, pockets between teeth and gums, bone loss and tooth loss. It can also cause premature wear, tooth chipping and breaking. Invisalign are custom made, clear aligners that are a great alternative to metal braces for kids, teens and adults!
